Training Delivery Method

Our method of training delivery is what makes a real difference when comparing our courses to traditional (class-room) based alternatives.

All courses are delivered in a fully functioning engineering office environment where each student has access to their own workstation and general office facilities such as telephones and printers. In addition, all students have access to training equipment (one per student) and shared engineering tools. If required, students have full access to an on-site and fully functional data centre as well.

Groups are limited to 4, and in rare cases 5, students. Usually one, and in rare cases two groups, attend a course at the same time. Each group is instructed by an instructor who is an engineer with at least 20 years industry experience. The same instructor remains with a group for the duration of the course.

Students are treated as employees for the duration of the course and are required to attend our office between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. However, if required, students can remain in the office as late as 6:00pm to complete hands-on training and lab exercises. Instructors supervise students at all times.

Each day is generally split in two sessions: a morning and an afternoon session. Morning sessions start at 8:30am sharp and generally include presentations on concepts, demonstrations and learning through group discussions. Morning sessions are followed by afternoon sessions which start at 1:30pm sharp and focus on hands-on training and lab work.

Students are strongly encouraged to work as a team throughout the course which helps them develop their people and communication skills in addition to what they learn from the course material and exercises.
